Abstract
Evolving, transforming and potentiating a material, based on the three axes of: sustainability, environment and socio-economics. It has become in recent years a challenge for the construction sector, and undoubtedly the best way to understand the damage caused by the excessive and unconscious use of natural resources. The use of renewable organic waste is an issue that has been gaining ground in the construction industry at a global level, taking advantage of the waste or components of raw materials that have higher productivity. In Colombia, coffee husks are one of the organic residues left by the coffee industry. This vegetable fiber is potentiated by its chemical composition, in this case, silicon, a mineral component that provides resistance in concrete, as does cement, and in this research, the design of a concrete mix is presented, to which the respective tests are carried out to identify the potential physical characteristics, applicable in architecture. The result of the mixture will be implemented in prototypes of formworks and stampings, which will allow the analysis of the material, in view of its workability and adherence to the architectural prototype to which it is exposed, in order to work at the same time: resistance, exposure to the external environment, sustainability and design. At the same time, pigments are applied to evaluate adherence and color behavior.
